The Jaffa Cycle Corps was formed in the fall of 1968 under the leadership of President Charles McAdoo and Captain Kenneth Hoover.

The original members paraded on blue Benelli 50 c.c. bikes. Riders included Charles McAdoo, Kenneth Hooer, Ralph Arthur, Harry Cook, John Maitland, Robert Milligan, James Meyers, Canton Schirm, Howard Sellars and Marshall Wagner.

Since its formation, the Cycle Corps has attended and competed in nearly every Mid-Atlantic Shrine convention.

In 1971, the Cycle Corps started to make cotton candy at the circus. That concession is still a circus tradition and operates from its original location.

Some of the members started riding Honda 350 cc bikes in 1972.  In that same year the Corps traveled with their bikes to the 98th Imperial Shrine Convention in Dallas. Texas. Kenneth Hoover and Dale Willis won the units first trophy at Atlantic City in 1972. Since that time, through the efforts of the Corps and its members, it has been awarded trophies for outstanding appearance, formation and skills.

In 1973, the Corps received permission from the Executive Committee to double the size of their meeting room and to use the outside door to the parking lot at ground level. In 1975 and 1976, The Cycle Corps and the Mounted Patrol sponsored crowd-pleasing rodeos in Ebensburg. PA. In 1981, all members changed to red Honda 70 cc bikes, making this style of bike the standard still used today.

The Cycle Corps has grown throughout the years to a membership of 54.
